Till glassen hade jag gjort smulpaj i portionsformar med sm\u00e4lt rabarber och \u00e4ppelklyftor (f\u00f6rkokta) i lager och en vanlig smuldeg ovanp\u00e5. N\u00e4r pajen svalnat pyntade jag med en glasskula, calvadossirap och mandelstr\u00f6ssel. Ytterligare glass p\u00e5 sidan om f\u00f6rsvann snabbt. En h\u00f6jdardessert, som dessutom kan lagas till i god tid i f\u00f6rv\u00e4g. Pajerna blir godast nylagade, men de kan st\u00e5 klara i kylen. Det \u00e4r bara att l\u00e4gga p\u00e5 smuldegen och gr\u00e4dda dem n\u00e5gon timme innan g\u00e4sterna kommer.
