Spola r\u00f6dbetorna i kallt vatten och dra av skalet med h\u00e4nderna. Anv\u00e4nd gummihandskar f\u00f6r v\u00e4rmens skull och f\u00f6r att undvika r\u00f6da h\u00e4nder. Sk\u00e4r i klyftor. Skala l\u00f6karna och sk\u00e4r \u00e4ven dessa i klyftor. Ansa b\u00f6norna och koka dem n\u00e4stan mjuka i saltat vatten eller anv\u00e4nda frysta b\u00f6nor. Sm\u00e4lt sm\u00f6ret i en panna och l\u00e4gg i l\u00f6ken f\u00f6rst f\u00f6r att mjukna. L\u00e4gg sedan i r\u00f6dbetorna, tills\u00e4tt honung och citronsaft och r\u00f6r om. Smaka av med salt och svartpeppar och l\u00e4gg till sist i b\u00f6norna. V\u00e4rm upp ordentligt och smaka av.
